Jump the line for the newest Chromecast features with Google’s new preview program

Google has launched a new preview program for and that lets you try out the newest firmware before it goes official.

A help forum post details the program, which you can sign up for through the Google Cast app. To get going, launch the or app and tap Devices. Then touch the overflow button (three vertical dots) and select Device settings. From there, select Preview Program and then you can agree to join it. 

Google says you’ll get email updates when there’s new firmware available for you. The help page also details that this is not a beta program, so your software should be rather stable and ready to use. You’re just getting it before everyone else.
