Android device updates: Nvidia Shield Android TV gets audio improvements, latest Vulkan API

The Shield is a solid performer, serving as one of the best showcases to what’s possible with . There’s a new update that improves on the audio experience, along with delivering the latest security patch.

Shield: The Shield Experience Upgrade 3.3 brings a lot of under-the-hood improvements. The official changelog lists the following:

This will improve the audio experience, particularly if you’re using pass-through with something like Plex Media Server. There are also some bug fixes baked in as well, though we’re still waiting for Nougat.
